Holiday in Port Blair

Port Blair
The capital city of 350 odd islands that comprise the Andaman and Nicobar group is the magnificent Port Blair. The city worth to be a major tourist destination with many breath taking spots. One of the major landmarks of Port Blair is the Cellular Jail. This seven-winged national monument, with a papal tree outside can tell tales of the torture of India's freedom fighters within its walls. The British, In 1897, laid the foundation stone of the building.

The Cellular Jail :
Tourists can visit the Cellular Jail and museum of Port Blair to pay homage to the martyrs. The Death House and the instruments of torture remind India's freedom struggle and the contribution of those who gave their life on freedom struggle.  The pristine beaches of Port Blair offers swimming at Corbyn's Cove, Jolly Buoy, or one of other safe beaches. Also enjoy the snorkel and visit the underwater world to experience the underwater adventures.

Havelock Island :
Havelock Island offers a memorable experience for the tourists. This unspoilt and beautiful destination is one of its kinds in Andaman. With permit, visit the home of the Onges in Dugong Creek and enjoy its beauty. Overnight stay at Havelock will take one back a hundred years to camp life and pristine beauty. 

Museum and Zoo :
The Anthropological Museum, Marine Museum, and the Mini Zoo are the must see destinations of Port Blair. Have a glimpse on panorama of the life of the Paleolithic islanders, a display of marine life with sea crocodiles, dolphins, barracuda, and pearl oysters. 

Harbor Cruises :
A harbor cruise will take one round the South Andaman Island and will give a bird's eye view of mangroves, rain forests and other delights of this living museum. Dancing dolphins will guide the ferry ride to these islands most occasionally. The unforgettable treasures of these coral islands are discovered through diving or just are sitting in a glass-bottomed boat. The underwater world comes alive with many significant views and adventures engrossing the vast expanses of colorful corals, fish and vegetation. 

Volcanoes :
Andamans are known for their very own dormant volcano and those who have the courage and stamina to climb to its mouth on Barren Island never forget the sight of the lava inside or the hard lava-like rocks that make the climb a near impossibility.
